What decks is it compatible with: It was designed for the X-2000, X-2000R and X-2000M, but, will also work with the Z5000, Z6000, Z7000, V-707RX, V-909RX, V-800X, V-900X, R-777X, R-888X, R-999X and V-850X.
What's included: Wireless remote adapter, international AC adapter and a universal remote.
What does it control: The remote adapter controls the following 8 functions: Play, Stop, F.F., Rewind, Record, Pause, Reverse Play and STZ. All functions can be controlled using any universal remote programmed for the proper Sony VCR code. Using the supplied DirecTV remote the buttons are mapped to the functions as shown.
The remote adapter can be programmed to respond to Sony VHS VCR, Beta VCR, 8mm VCR and Laser Disc Player codes. To select between the four options there are two jumpers inside the unit. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the unit and remove the top cover.
Toward the front window are two jumpers labeled 1 and 2. They configure the remote device code per the table below.

Configuring the DirecTV Remote: To program the remote first slide the switch at the top to AV1 or AV2. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT buttons until the green light at the top blinks twice then release. Using the number keypad enter the 5 digit device code from the table above.
